With boldness to inject modernity to the recognizable traditional artisan, Maison SIRIVANNAVARI explores the inspired motifs in each age – in printed shawls or woven patterns of Gupta fabrics to original 19th century British Raj iridescent metallic sheen tulle – to illustrate the Princess’ drawings and artworks including her cherished peacock, S Signature and delicate henna-like graphic of vine arabesque through different textured brocade by making use of jacquard weaving and special shuttle weaving techniques.

To render practical ingenuity, Indian Kurta is re-worked with the pattern of IRIS jacket following by Sari draped gowns alongside with fringe bodice and metallic topstitching dresses. While the parade of beachwear offers variations from kaftan to swimsuit, the bustier and bandeau bra, evening dresses are decorated with metallic gold or onyx threading and draped, one-shoulder bias-cut long sheath housing 3D-embroideries, tassels and raffia macramé as marvelous embellishments.

As for S’Homme, the silhouette of Nehru Kurta (the British Raj Safari jacket) is elongated into smart outerwear and pairing embroidered or topstitched shirts with tapered or loosen pants.

Among fluid jacquard, lightweight silk satin and chiffon and iridescent velvet and moiré, the pastel shades play a major role in both Sirivannavari and S’Homme with the interlude from the vivid shades of gemstones and precious metals from ruby to amethyst, carnelian to onyx and yellow gold to pink gold.

The emotional twist reveals in accessories, while clothes dazzle all eyes with neo-oriental magnifique mood, the accessories are the choreograph of modern attitudes from pink gold earring and necklaces, both collars and transformable chokers, to disco pumps complemented with metallic fringe-handbags and Cat-Eye sunglasses, their myriad of brilliant colors offers the essence of new luxury: comfort and free.

At once divinity and sinuous, innocent and sophisticate, the service of precision tailoring and meticulous crafting endows and expresses sheer exuberance of Indian magnificent cultural art with wearability for clothes and practicality for accessories.

“This collection focuses the embroideries and macramé knots as protagonist to embody the art of ornamentation more than ever while pastel shades are used to reveal the warm character. Each and all elements are meant to tell an alluring story of India in my interpretation, the magic land as the cradle of global civilization,” concluded the creative director HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.

The “Tapestries of Dreams” Spring/Summer 2023 Collection for SIRIVANNAVARI and S’Homme is now available at SIRIVANNAVARI, 1st floor, Siam Paragon and 1st floor King Power Complex Rangnam.
